The voltage in Switzerland, as in most of Europe, is 230V/50 Hz. Switzerland uses type C (2-pin) and Type J (3-pin) plugs. (Type C 2-pin plugs also fit J sockets.) Most power sockets are designed for three pin round plugs. The standard continental type plug with two round pins, applied for many electrical travel products, may be used without problem –

There will be WIFI in common areas in schools and in a lot of places through town. Check the map!

Swiss tap water is of very high quality and meets strict guidelines regarding hygiene and safety. Don’t forget to bring your reusable bottle!

The versatile Bestway Floc Twin inflatable bed has an integrated cushion that allows a relaxed sleeping position. This inflatable bed has three-part safety valves for quick and easy inflation and deflation. A foot pump is also included.

Be ready to take the opportunity to shower at the Riveraine and at the Maladiere Stadium after City Performances or Workshops, as there are about 100 showers available, for your comfort.

On EUROGYM sites, you can pay cash in Euro (1 Euro = 1 CHF). Change possible in town. Credit and debit cards are accepted nearly everywhere, we recommend this payment method (VISA, MasterCard, Maestro, V-Pay, AMEX, JCB, UnionPay, Bancontact, Apple Pay, Android Pay, Twint).

Reusable bottle, swimsuit and beach towel, sunscreen, mosquito repellant, flashlight, phone charger and adapter if necessary.

The entire health management of the event will be delegated to a specialized external service provider (the company BlueFires), which will provide the necessary competent medical and nursing staff. The health organisation will be based around a visible Advanced Medical Post (AMP), located at the heart of the festival (near the Maladière stadium) and various mobile medical teams that will provide a link between the festival sites and the AMP.

The AMP will provide medical and health care coverage from 8:00 to 22:00. Outside of these hours (22:00 to 08:00), a medical emergency hotline (adults and children) will take over at the Neuchâtel Hospital (RHNe), Pourtalès site.

Groups are accompanied, safe itineraries, traffic agents at major intersections, enclosed zone for gymnasts, night patrol to protect the setups, command post for special announcements.

Switzerland’s Federal Council has taken the decision to remove all rules linked to Covid. Therefore, no vaccination or test will be asked to participate in EGFL or EUROGYM. Information on the use of masks during the event will be communicated a few weeks before the start. Should the nations consider it necessary to wear masks, it is recommended that they bring along sufficient masks for their participants.

If a delegation needs a rapid antigenic or PCR test to go back home, please have the HOD or group coach make the request to the LOC during the HODs meetings, in order to arrange the needed tests, no later than 8th July for groups leaving the EGFL, and no later than 10th July for EUROGYM groups.
